Death of a 5-Year-Old

Four weeks ago today my good friend and coworker Carla buried her dad. This morning a terrible accident occurred at the home of her son David. A swingset fell over on Carla's grandson, affectionately nicknamed "Fidgie." He was rushed to the hospital, injured and unresponsive. Carla was at the hospital with David, his wife, and his older son, when Fidgie was pronounced dead.

 

Fidgie was "all boy"—his nickname tells that story—and was dearly loved by all members of his family.  Carla commented that Fidgie was probably sitting in Pawpaw's lap right then. 

 

Carla and her family would covet your prayer support in the midst of this tragedy.

    Visit carolyn carolyn Thank you, friends, for your love and prayers for this precious family. My heart breaks for them, as I know yours does. All day yesterday I kept thinking, "What if this was our Jay?" The pain would be unbearable. There's lots of healing to take place in the days to come.

    Visit Cindy My heart aches so much for this family that I am at a loss for words. What can one say? Though we do not understand, we can pray and I am doing just that.
