The Wedding Part 2
Here's the beautiful bride, Erin, and her proud Daddy.
I forgot earlier to say that other than the song Tara sang, all the music was on a harp. Indescribably lovely. Peaceful. Sitting in the warm sunshine with that gentle breeze and the harp music ... wow ... just about put me to sleep. Heavenly. I also failed to mention that the bride and the bridesmaids all were barefoot. They'll probably show up on that TV program about redneck weddings. My family ain't right, but we have fun.
During the reception there was much music and dancing. Erin and her dad danced to "Daddy's Little Girl." Allan's not a dancer and wasn't looking forward to that part, but he did great. I don't know if he ever danced with Nancy, his wife, or not!
Erin's older sister, Heather, was her maid of honor. Heather leaves tomorrow morning for her summer missions job. She's been working Centrifuge for several summers now; this year she'll be a director. Her first stop is Myrtle Beach, SC. Later in the summer she'll go to Casper, WY and then finish up somewhere near Seattle, WA. After that she's going to do International World Changers in Romania.
Kayla, another niece, leaves Wednesday for her summer job as a camp counselor somewhere in Missouri. Tara's in summer school and Lauren is working at Subway. Probably won't see much of any of them for a while. Erin has one more year of college at Tech, where she's a music major. She starts a job soon at a Christian bookstore. Busy, busy, girls.
