More Celebrating & Bargain Shopping

Cheryl brought homemade shortbread this morning ... yum, yum, yum. And she gave me a microfiber towel for drying my hair. Yeh! Those things are terrific and soak up water like nobody's business. Then 4 of my coworkers took me to Logan's for lunch ... and told the server it was my birthday. So the whole place had to sing Happy Birthday and give a big Texas yee-haw. What they won't do for attention! But it was great fun.

Just had a bit of a tummy ache lately. Didn't eat any breakfast this morning ... until I got here and Cheryl unloaded the shortbread. Of course I had to get into that. Later I ate a little cobbler (leftover from last night), which I would not have done had I known we were going out to lunch. So I wasn't really hungry, but I did manage to eat half of my burger and brought the rest back.

Got a notice today that a new Thomas the Train movie is coming out this month. It'll be showing in Gallatin on weekends. Kids are $3 and adults are free. Might see if my Jaybug would like a movie date with his favorite Mawmaw and Pap on Sunday afternoon. Who am I kidding? That kid will go nuts over a Thomas movie with us. He'll be in heaven. Me too ... just to have the time with him.

I'm sooooo tired. Nothing on tonight's agenda. No laundry. No working on the deck. No housework. Just vegging out. Gonna sit around like a big ol' lazy three-toed sloth.

Bargain Shopping: Quite possibly gymboree is becoming my new favorite place for shop for baby clothing. Of course, being the bargain shopper that I am, I march right through to the back of the store and ONLY look at the clearance rack. But they always have a lot of cute things ... just have to dig through the selection sometimes. We have a baby shower tomorrow for a coworker I barely know (we're spread out over 3 floors and work on different floors), but I still wanted to get her something. So I got a few bargains: 4 things for $23.

Also stopped at Wal-Mart for a gift card for David, the coworker who had shoulder surgery on Friday. Some of us are going out to see him tomorrow and take lunch (hopefully something that won't hurt his stomach), and the gift card is from the dept. And I stopped at the bank to pay the house note. Just enough time for a power nap before The Pap comes home.
